Grounds on the Go Recap: Energy Challenges and Opportunities
Grounds on the Go, a seminar series that aims to introduce the best University of Virginia thinkers and innovators to the community, kicked off its fall semester with a discussion on energy research on September 16 at the UVA Research Park.
Sponsored by the UVA Research Park and U.Va Applied Research Institute, chemistry professor T. Brent Gunnoe discussed the exclusive $4 million partnership with MAXNET Energy and the collaboration between researchers from U.Va and several Max Planck Institutes to develop processes for the clean and efficient production of energy.
Grounds on the Go began in the spring of 2015 with a timely discussion on net neutrality with professors of media studies Siva Vaidhyanathan and Christoper Ali. In May, professor George Bloom discussed the challenges facing Alzheimer’s disease research and the quest for a cure. Grounds on the Go is free and open to the public, and all lectures are filmed and can be viewed on the UVA Research Park’s YouTube channel. For more information or to RSVP, visit GroundsontheGo.com.
