Dynetics Opens Charlottesville Office
The University of Virginia Foundation welcomed new tenant Dynetics, an employee-owned company serving government and commercial customers in the defense, intelligence, aerospace, automotive, IT/cybersecurity and physical security sectors, to the UVA Research Park in early 2015.
“The UVA Research Park is home to a thriving industry cluster of federal contractors supporting the mission of the National Ground Intelligence Center, the Defense Intelligence Agency, and the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency,” said Deborah van Eersel, UVA Foundation Chief Administrative Officer. “Members of the UVA Research Park community actively explore opportunities to collaborate with the University of Virginia through its Applied Research Institute – we are looking forward to exploring ways to engage with Dynetics in the months to come.”
“Having a physical presence in Charlottesville gives us an opportunity to work hand-in-hand with our customers and allows us to be even more responsive to their needs.”
Dynetics, based in Huntsville, Alabama, became an official research park tenant in late January, signing a 6-year lease for space in the Town Center One building. The Dynetics team located in the UVA Research Park specifically supports the Department of Defense and the Intelligence Community in the areas of modeling, simulation and analysis. Prior to opening an office in Charlottesville, Dynetics has been providing solutions to the community from the company’s Huntsville headquarters since 2003.
“We are excited about joining the UVA Research Park and look forward to being a part of the Charlottesville community,” said David King, Dynetics president. “We support our customers’ missions by helping them solve their most difficult problems. Having a physical presence in Charlottesville gives us an opportunity to work hand-in-hand with our customers and allows us to be even more responsive to their needs.”
